Dragon Tails

A new Dragon Tail every month!
This is the place for the people who are like me and go into withdrawl without their daily dose of Dragons! A new Dragon Tail every month!

Akko's First Flight
Akko opened her eyes, which were immediately shut by the blinding sun light. She slowly got up, stretched, and made her way to the entrance to her cave. She watched her brothers and sisters happily soaring through the air, and was swallowed up with envy. She suddenly heard a voice. "Are you ready, Akko?" she smiled up at her father, who gave her an affectionate lick on the snout. "Yes," she replied. "I am." With that, they took the winding path leading from their cave to the ground. She could feel her scales turn red as the other Draclings stopped playing merrily and watched her trot over to Sky Hill. As she climbed the ever steepening slope, thoughts raced through her mind. "What if I mess up? What if I fall? What if I can't do it?" but before she could answer any of her own questions, she realized she was at the summit of Sky Hill. Her father gave her a reassuring lick, then jumped down to the foot of the hill. Akko stood for a moment, letting the breeze calm herself. Every Dragon in sight had stopped to watch her. She took a deep breath, stepped forward, and leapt into the air. It all seemed to happen so fast, Akko barely had time to think. She spread her wings, flapped as hard as she could, and took off into the clouds. It was the most wonderful feeling, soaring gracefully with your family and friends close behind you. Akko beamed as she glanced behind her, seeing that she was the fastest flyer there.
